Umjetničko djelo: PierrotLP..........I have been aware of French Lick since 1996, thanks to a catalogue of orders from prog rock mail called Aeon Music sold a copy (a catalogue specializing in rare and hard-to-reach prog on vinyl and CDs, as well as reissues). They described it as something like "Kind of like that, 10cc, and the American sound prog. It's worth owning." French Lick, it's the name of the indiana town, but I'm not 100% sure if the band was named after the city, the band certainly didn't come from Indiana, but from Fullerton, California. But surprisingly, this band performed a pomp/prog hybrid that was often common to Midwestern bands without the Southern California vibe you get with many of their contemporaries. It's a strange combination of more direct pieces and a little more experimental parts, with a pretty creative use of synthesizers. Like many of those Midwestern bands of the time, French Lick clearly had both commercial and creative ambitions, but it doesn't clash like many real Midwestern bands..........Ladislav&Zivanovic
